I thought foil print would be a trend of the early millennium, when scene kids were not scene, watchedSabrina the Teenage Witch, and shopped solely at Limited Too. Much to my displeasure, the shiny gold and silver printing has unfortunately carried over to what we now call the scene. In case you have taste and didn’t know what foil print it is, it is a metallic leaf that is laminated on to garments (aka, merch).

Foil print was once known only to Guidos and N*Sync, making its way onto the club scene with its highly reflective andblingtastic qualities. I guess it is only logical that scene kids eventually caught on. I mean, scene kids love to be flashy and not much is flashier than having your shirt match the grillzyou bought for halloween.

I don’t know why or how, but sometime in 2008, foil print took off. For twice the price, scensters strut around in the metallic leaf shirts, ready to catch some rays, or use their shirt as a mirror to fix their comb over.

As much as I may scoff at foil print, it does have two highly effective and formerly unknown uses:
